Genuine Yamaha Parts

his genuine Yamaha OEM gasket (33M-15457-00) is precision-cut to provide an oil-tight seal for the side crankcase cover. It is an essential component for engine maintenance, ensuring proper fluid containment and protection of internal engine components. Using an original factory-spec gasket guarantees the correct thickness and material compression required for leak-free performance.

4. Vehicle Compatibility

Make Model Range Application
Yamaha XT600 (1984–1989) Crankcase Cover
Yamaha TT600 (1983–1989) Crankcase Cover
Yamaha SRX600 (1986) Crankcase Cover

Note: This gasket is specific to the mid-80s big-bore air-cooled single-cylinder engines. Verify your specific model’s engine code (e.g., 33M, 43F) as gasket thickness and bolt pattern can vary slightly between production years.

5. Fitment Details

This is a direct OEM replacement. When installing, it is critical to remove all traces of the old gasket material from both the engine casing and the cover mating surfaces. Use a plastic scraper to avoid scoring the aluminum. Ensure the surfaces are completely clean, dry, and free of oil residue before applying the new gasket. It is recommended to install the gasket dry; if a sealant is required by your specific service manual, apply only a very thin, even film. Tighten all cover bolts in a consistent cross-pattern to the torque specifications provided by the manufacturer to ensure uniform compression.
