Product Description

This genuine Yamaha factory-original camshaft lever is a critical component of the mechanical drum brake assembly. Mounted externally onto the rear brake panel splines, this arm connects directly to the rear brake cable or linkage. When tension is applied via the hand lever, it rotates the internal brake camshaft to force the brake shoes outward against the drum. As an OEM component, it features high-grade steel forging and precise spline cutting to ensure positive mechanical engagement and prevent slipping under heavy braking force.

Vehicle Compatibility

Make Model Range Application
Yamaha Jog 50 / Jog Pochette (CY50 / YV50 / 3KJ series) Rear Brake Panel / Hub
Yamaha Axis 50 / Axis 90 (YA50 / YA90) Rear Brake Panel / Hub
Yamaha Vino 50 (YJ50R) Rear Brake Panel / Hub
Yamaha Breeze 50 / Fizz 50 / Zest 80 Rear Brake Panel / Hub

Note: This specific lever configures the rear drum brake system for Yamaha’s classic 50cc to 90cc horizontal 2-stroke scooter platforms. Always verify that your rear hub splines are in clean condition to ensure proper fitment.

Fitment Details

This is a direct OEM replacement. Before installation, clean the splines on the brake camshaft thoroughly to remove any old corrosion or debris. Slip the lever onto the splines, ensuring it aligns with the punch marks or the factory angle specified in your service manual for proper leverage. Secure the assembly with the correct pinch bolt and torque to spec to avoid stripping the splines. Always recheck and adjust your rear brake cable or rod tension after installation to ensure optimal pedal free-play and prevent the rear shoes from dragging inside the hub shell.
