Fitment Details
When installing, ensure the mating surfaces on the engine block and intake manifold are perfectly clean and free of old gasket residue to prevent vacuum leaks. A vacuum leak at this junction will result in a "lean" fuel condition, which can lead to overheating, poor idling, or severe engine damage. Use a new gasket (such as 4KN-13621-00-00) during assembly. Tighten the mounting bolts in a cross-pattern to avoid distorting the valve housing. Ensure the reed petals sit perfectly flush against the cage; any visible light gap indicates wear and necessitates replacement.
