5. Fitment Details
This is a direct OEM replacement. To install, ensure that the surrounding housing and linkage surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and free of old grease and abrasive grit. Apply a light amount of silicone-based rubber protectant to the new boot to aid in flexibility and seating if necessary. Ensure the boot is seated correctly in its grooves and that both ends are secured, as an improperly seated boot will trap moisture and accelerate the corrosion of the components it is intended to protect. Inspect the boot for signs of perishing, cracking, or tearing during every major service interval.
