4. Fitment & Installation Details

The application for this part is the right-hand clutch/transmission cover. Because this is a high-performance two-stroke engine, a perfect seal at the clutch cover is essential to prevent oil seepage that can occur under the intense vibration of the 250cc two-stroke powerplant. Before installing, ensure the mating surfaces on the engine case and the clutch cover are completely clean and free of old, dried gasket material or debris. The use of a plastic scraper is recommended to avoid damaging the soft aluminum surfaces. This gasket should be installed dry; do not use liquid silicone or RTV sealants, as excess material can squeeze into the oil galleries and potentially cause internal oil starvation. When tightening the cover bolts, always follow a star pattern to ensure uniform pressure across the entire gasket surface.
