Vehicle Compatibility & Year Fitment

Model Compatible Years
Honda XL250R 1984–1987
Honda XR250R 1984–1985
Honda TLM200R 1985–1986
Honda XLX250R 1983–1984

Note: The "KF0" prefix identifies this as a component for the RFVC (Radial Four Valve Combustion) engine family. It is essential for protecting the internal electrical components from moisture and debris.

4. Fitment & Installation Details

  • Application: Left-hand (Generator/Ignition) side.

  • Mechanical Note: This area is a common point of moisture ingress on bikes used in off-road environments. A failed gasket here allows mud and water to corrode the stator coils and pulse generator, leading to intermittent "no spark" conditions.

  • Installation Tip: Always inspect the rubber wiring grommet where the stator leads exit the case. If this grommet is hardened, replace it or use a high-quality, oil-resistant sealant (like ThreeBond) around the seat to prevent oil from wicking up the wires. Ensure the surface is perfectly flat, as these thin aluminum covers can warp if bolts are over-tightened near the wiring outlet.
