Fitment & Technical Details
Allow the engine to cool completely and drain a small amount of coolant from the system to drop the fluid level below the cylinder head thermostat housing. Disconnect the wiring harness plug from the old sensor, carefully unscrew the faulty unit using a deep socket, and clean the port threads. Apply a suitable thread sealant or ensure the built-in crush washer/O-ring is properly seated, screw the new 640485 genuine temperature sensor into place to the correct torque specification, reconnect the electrical connector, refill the coolant system, and bleed any trapped air.
