Product Description

This is a genuine factory-original rear tail light assembly designed specifically for Piaggio NRG platforms. The unit serves as the complete rear optical group, housing the running tail light, active brake/stop light, and integrated turn signal reflector sections. Designed to preserve the aerodynamic lines of the classic NRG sports scooter, it comes as a pre-assembled housing featuring a red main lens and clear indicator segments, complete with European road-legal E-markings stamped on the outer plastic.

Note on Part Numbers: In some historical Piaggio parts diagrams, the original part number 957214 is cross-referenced or interchanged with part number 581380.

Vehicle Compatibility

This rear light unit is a standard factory fitment across early-generation liquid-cooled (LC) and air-cooled (AC) Piaggio NRG 50cc chassis designs:

Fitment Details

To replace the taillight assembly, you must first remove the rear upper fairing panels and the grab rail to access the inner mounting bracket bolts situated behind the rear seat bucket area. Carefully unplug the main multi-pin wiring harness connector from the back of the light unit before unscrewing the mounting fasteners that secure the optical group to the frame assembly. When positioning the new assembly, ensure that the outer rubber sealing lip aligns cleanly with the edges of the surrounding plastic bodywork panels to prevent rainwater from leaking into the rear electrical compartment. Always use standard-specification bulbs, typically a dual-filament 12V 21/5W bulb for the running and brake light alongside 12V 10W amber bulbs for the integrated turn signals, and check that the rubber bulb holder sockets are twisted tightly and fully sealed into the reflector housing to prevent moisture condensation.
