Vespa GT / GTS / GTV Rear Left Indicator Assembly 638718

Official Parts & Classification

  • Manufacturer: Piaggio Group

  • Part Number: 638718

  • Component: Rear Left-Hand (L/H) Turn Signal Indicator Assembly (Clear Lens / Chrome Trim)

  • Brand: Genuine Vespa / Piaggio OEM

Product Description

This is a genuine factory-original rear left-hand (L/H) indicator assembly designed for Vespa's large-frame GT, GTS, and GTV scooter ranges. It features a clear outer lens over a chrome-finished housing, complete with European road-legal E-marking stamped on the lens. This original part number has been succeeded in the Piaggio parts catalog by the active, consolidated part number 584973 (which also replaced legacy number 583619).

Vehicle Compatibility

This rear-left turn signal is a standard fitment across many liquid-cooled, large-frame Vespa models:

Make Model Model Year Range Application
Vespa GT 125 L / GT 200 L (Granturismo) 2003–2009 Rear L/H Turn Signal
Vespa GTS 125 / 250 / 300 (including Super / HPE) 2005–2022 Rear L/H Turn Signal
Vespa GTV 125 / 250 / 300 (including GT60) 2006–2022 Rear L/H Turn Signal

Fitment Details

Installing this assembly requires removing the engine-side frame panel trim or working carefully from inside the under-seat helmet bay to access the mounting hardware. The housing is designed exclusively for a 12V 10W amber bulb with offset pins (type BAU15s or RY10W, Piaggio part 584332), meaning standard straight-pin yellow bulbs will not lock into the socket base correctly. When positioning the indicator, ensure that the perimeter rubber sealing gasket sits completely flat against the scooter's steel chassis before tightening the mounting screw, as a pinched or misaligned gasket will allow rain and wash water to seep behind the bodywork and eventually corrode the wiring harness terminals.
