Product Description

Factory-original vulcanized nitrile rubber upper cam chain guide cushion (Guide, Stopper 2). Seats directly into the cylinder head top bridge between the intake and exhaust camshaft sprockets. Dampens dynamic timing chain whip and harmonics created by the high-revving 3TJ/4HM valve train under extreme RPMs (14,000+ RPM redline).

Fitment Details

Presses into the machined recess of the central top cam cap bridge. Unlike the long lower tensioner blades (3TJ-12251-00 and 3TJ-12252-00), this upper stopper operates directly under the valve cover. Must be replaced if hardened, cracked, or grooved to prevent rubber flaking into the oil galleries.
