Product Description

Factory-original steel tachometer primary drive gear (Gear, Primary). Installs inside the clutch/right-hand crankcase cover to mesh with the drive axle gear, transferring mechanical rotational speed from the primary drive assembly to the analog tachometer cable on classic 2-stroke twin-cylinder Yamaha motorcycles.

Fitment Details

Mounts directly on the internal tachometer drive axle (2R8-17861-00) inside the right engine clutch casing. Ensure dowel pins (93603-22028) and thrust plate washers (90201-10135) are correctly shimmed during installation to prevent excessive end-play or gear tooth binding under load.
