Work in a clean, well-ventilated workspace free from fuel vapors and fire hazards. Remove the faux gas tank cover, airbox assembly, and carburetor bank. Unbolt the old hardened or cracked rubber joints from the cylinder heads, clean the mounting surfaces thoroughly to remove old gasket material or debris, and check the O-rings or gaskets. Install the new 1FK-13586-00 genuine carburetor joint with the correct directional alignment, torque the retaining clamp bolts evenly to factory specifications, and seat the carburetor spigots firmly into the boots without pinching or folding the rubber lips.Verification: Joint clamps down squarely with zero vacuum leaks, eliminating hanging idles or uneven fueling across all four cylinders.
