Inspect crankcase main bearing bores and alignment tolerances meticulously prior to installation. Ensure clean oil priming of the big-end bearing and small-end journal. Draw the crankshaft evenly into the crankcase halves using a dedicated installer tool rather than hammering the journals, verifying smooth rotational clearance and correct axial play per the factory service manual.Verification: Rotates completely free and true within the crankcase halves with zero binding, ensuring perfect piston stroke travel, accurate ignition timing via the magneto taper, and long-term bottom-end mechanical reliability.
