Product Description
Yamaha Genuine factory automatic/manual cylinder head decompression release cable (CABLE, DECOMPRESSION). Features high-tensile inner steel wire encased in a low-friction, heavy-duty protective outer sheath with molded end fittings and rubber dust boot sleeves. Engineered specifically for late-1980s and 1990s Yamaha XT600 air-cooled 4-stroke dual-sport motorcycles (2KF model prefix) to lighten kick-starting resistance by actuating the cylinder head exhaust valve lifter. Manufactured in Japan under Yamaha Motor OEM specifications.

Fitment & Technical Details
Direct factory replacement decompression control cable. Route smoothly along the frame down-tube from the cylinder head valve mechanism to the kick-start linkage/lever perch without sharp bends. Apply light cable lubricant to the inner wire during installation and adjust cable tension to ensure proper valve clearance lift when operating the kick-starter pedal.
