Product Description
Yamaha Genuine factory EXUP (Exhaust Ultimate Power Valve) dual control cable assembly (CABLE PULLEY ASSY). Features high-tensile twin inner steel cables with heat-resistant, low-friction outer sheathing and molded end fittings engineered to withstand high exhaust heat exposure. Transmits precise rotational drive from the under-seat EXUP servo motor down to the exhaust collector valve pulley, optimizing low-end and mid-range torque on first-generation Yamaha YZF-R1 models (4XV and RN04 platforms). Manufactured in Japan by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.

Fitment & Technical Details
Dual-cable push-pull EXUP valve control system. When installing, route through factory frame clips away from direct exhaust manifold contact. Ensure the EXUP valve moves freely by hand before attaching cables. Adjust cable slack to specification using the inline adjusters (typically 1.5–2.0 mm free play) and perform the key-on self-check sequence to confirm the notch on the EXUP valve pulley aligns precisely with the cylinder housing index hole at ignition startup.
