Product Description
This is a genuine factory-original, non-sealed 428-pitch, 116-link heavy-duty drive chain. Manufactured directly by Daido Kogyo Co. (D.I.D.) under their high-grade "HG" heavy-duty specification, it is engineered to handle off-road conditions and trail riding. This original part number has been replaced in the Yamaha catalog by successor number 9Y582-51115.

Fitment Details
Before installing the chain, clean all debris from the front and rear sprockets to prevent rapid wear on the fresh links. This 428HG chain is non-sealed and uses a standard clip-style master joint, which should be locked with the closed end of the clip facing the forward rotational direction of the chain to prevent accidental opening. Adjust the chain slack to the factory-recommended 25–35 mm range on a stand, and maintain regular lubrication with a quality dirt-bike chain spray after cleaning to keep the rollers spinning freely and prevent premature stretch on dusty trails.
