This genuine Yamaha factory-original connecting rod assembly links the piston to the crankshaft, translating linear combustion power into rotational drive. Fitment Details
During engine rebuilds, always install fresh connecting rod bolts 4X7-11654-01 and rod nuts 90179-09379, as these fasteners are subject to high stretch under load and should never be reused. You must carefully measure the crankshaft rod journal and match it to the correct color-coded OEM plane shell bearings (available in Blue, Black, Brown, Green, or Yellow) to maintain correct oil clearance. Apply high-quality assembly lube to the new bearing shells before torquing the rod cap nuts to factory-specified limits in even, incremental stages.
